TESTIMONIALS

When I retired three years ago from the Soda Springs School District, I finally got to move back in with my wife, who has been living in Pocatello since 2005. I played in a Seniors league in Soda Springs and wanted to be involved in a league in Pocatello. Charles told me the seniors meet every Monday at either Riverside or Highland. He stated that next Monday they would be playing at Riverside. I came to play the following Monday by myself and Ryan stated he would get me with a threesome. I can’t remember who I played with that day, but from that day until now, I have been welcomed by everyone and I don’t think I played with any nicer gentlemen then are on the seniors league. They all seem to enjoy one another and get along at the most part. I am really glad that I have met theses golfers and play on a great league. Thanks everyone.

Retired , out golfing one day at Riverside, I can’t remember who, but said why don’t you join seniors on Monday’s, they play on a league. Joined the rest of the baggers, couldn’t have asked for better company!! Enjoy the game, enjoy going to the regional tourneys, playing their courses and meeting new people. Wouldn’t miss it for anything, to much fun..

I joined the league hoping to find honest friendly competition, to meet others looking for the same. I have really enjoyed the regional play also. Thanks for helping to improve the consistency of the handicap system so the league stays fun.

The Monday Senior Men’s League has evolved and grown into something like I have never before seen in this area. There is great camaraderie and competition amongst the competitors each and every week. If you are 50 or older, regardless of skill level, the Monday Senior Men’s League is definitely something to be a part of.

I enjoy playing golf in the Monday senior tournaments because it gives us a chance to meet new people and I like the comradery that we share as senior citizens as well as being able to compete with men my own age. It gives senior citizens a reason to get out of the house and off of the sofa and away from the T.V and gives us something to look forward to each Monday, which will improve our mental and physical health. We get a wonderful turnout for the tournaments now with attendance of 50 to 70 people on a given day. You can be on a traveling team that goes to other towns in southern Idaho and compete against teams from all the teams that are members of the Snake River Seniors group. This is a great program and gets better every year.
